My best friend Jim, who's a fellow trekkie, dropped by this weekend, and we were discussing the big auction of Star Trek memorabilia a couple of years ago. The History Channel had a show about it, and it was pointed out that all the models of the ships were a once-in-a-lifetime thing-- that all the ships are now CGI. Some of them went for over $100,000, showing that some Star Trek fans have both too much time and too much money.

ReplyDeleteSomeone once tried to replace my regular coffee with Folger's instant crystals, so I had to kill them.
