Be sure to watch my friends The Watson Twins on Conan tonight. Or TiVo it, and watch it tomorrow. But you really should watch it tonight, if you want to, you know, be cool.
Speaking of cool, Leigh and Chandra are about to kick off an east coast tour with, um, Billy Bragg is all. Freakin Billy Bragg. They're very excited.
Here's the video of the single off their new album Fire Songs. It's called How Am I to Be.
Watch it, but be warned that you cannot resist the power of the twins:

Oh, The Watson Twins. I thought you meant The Thompson Twins. This is much better. And the editor of this video should be congratulated.
Setting dvr now, thanks.
Did you get your 'toons?
Doc
Nice voice.
I'll have to check out their stuff. The singer bears a striking resemblance to a certain political blogger I know from the west coast...
I had to check and make sure I was in the right place with all this gray.
I will check them out, and I am with Chris. Did you go minimalistic with your blog?
Guys, I just changed the background color. All that black was getting a little oppressive.
And Chris, oh, once upon a time I might have approached something like the cuteness of teh twins. Except that they've got between the two of them about 6 inches on me.
And Doc, yes, Flan emailed them to me, and the resolution is great. Thanks again!
Congrats to the twins, that's awesome!
Thanks for reminding me of the Watson Twins. Conan is on WAY past my bedtime, but I heard their cover of "Just Like Heaven" on the radio the other day and meant to check them out on iTunes. I read your post, watched the video, and immediately downloaded the new album. Exactly my kinda music. . .
I met Billy Bragg in 1990 or so. He said it was weird my name was Grant. He said the only other Grant he knew was his manager.
That's the last time we spoke.
Oh man, that's infectious. Cool.
Sorry for the double comment, but they're gonna be here in a couple of weeks with Bragg. I'm getting tickets, man! Thanks for the intro to them. They're awesome!
Megan & DGuz: I thought you two might dig the twins. If you like Fire Songs, check out their previous EP, Southern Manners. Self-released, but you can find it on Amazon.
