I refuse to testify on the grounds that I might be shown to be a shameless, soul-free stooge for the worst president ever, so help me god.

Gonzales aide and White House liaison Monica Goodling, when called before the Senate Judiciary Committee, will take the fifth.

Don't worry: their chickens will come home to roost.

They can plead the fifth and they can try to cover their asses, but it's all going to come tumbling down around them.

It's a pussy way out, but hey - the fifth amendment is there for a reason.

Excuse me, but isn't the 5th amendment there so you can avoid incriminating yourself in a crime that's already been committed? I don't think the purpose of the 5th is "I'm not going to talk because if I did I would just lie."

These folks are in for a surprise if there's a grand jury. You can't invoke the fifth in a grand jury.
