Have you seen this week's Onion? "Guliani To Run For President of 9/11."
For the life of me, I can't figure out why everybody thought he was such a genius after 9/11. Walking around looking concerned was pretty much what any other mayor would have done in his shoes. And everybody suddenly forgot his personal little escapades, and the fact that he fostered a climate that resulted in police brutality.
People thought Dubya was an amazing leader after 9/11 too, which just shows you how desperate we were for anyone -- and I mean anyone -- to appear strong in the wake of that horrible day.
Guys: I agree, that just like BushCo, whose presidency was tanking fast before 9/11, Giuliani showing up on that day washed away a multitude of his sins.
