A few years ago I did a bicycle tour through Colorado during wildfire season. The first day we rode 99 miles through intermittent wildfire smoke, then camped on the high school football field in Pagosa Springs amid swirling smoke in 90 degree heat. I kept waking up that night dreaming I was in Hell. It's really green in Colorado right now, which means it will be a smokin' wildfire season in just a few weeks.
PS: Wildfires have come within about a mile of the house in Boulder.

Damn, I hate when the ashes get all over my car.
Yeah, but it gave the 80 year-olds at my barbershop today something to talk about besides how much Mexicans and Unions are ruining this country.
How close is it to you?
Randy: "Yeah, but it gave the 80 year-olds at my barbershop today something to talk about"
Oh, that explains the your hair style ;)
SkyDad: Not close. The hills you see are in between the basin and the Valley.
But the wind blows it right over me.
Crap, is it that time of year already?
that's intense
Stay safe.
I see you've moved from earthquake season to fire. Flood season must be just around the corner.
GKL: Actually, we moved right from earthquake season to fire season, and skipped mudslide season.
