Prop. 76 - NO
Prop. 77 - NO

I'm afraid you've misread Prop 80; it does several bad things, even as it tries to do some good. If you value your $$$ and having a choice, you want to vote NO. Given your other recommendations, that NO on 80 seems consistent, when you look closely at Prop 80.

Prop 80:
-- Removes your right to buy electricity from someone other than the local utility. If you want all green power -- or all nuclear for that matter -- you can't get it.

-- The 20% renewable requirement is already the law, it just moves it up from 2017 to 2010. Most utilities were going to do it by 2010 easily anyway. Turns out, in SD for example, renewable is CHEAPER!!

-- Makes it harder for individuals to put solar on their own homes. My house runs between 90-110% off solar. Under Prop. 80 that would not have been easily possible.

Yeah, 80 is flawed. But the most important thing right now for me is to stop the bleeding and protect our deregulation-imposed vulnerabilities. I respect your position though.

Like your blog, too.

Rofl! Thanks . . . obviously I come down on the side that says Enron activity was already illegal, and I don't want to lock myself into a SINGLE corporate entity. In any case, thanks for the look see; I was especially amused by your user name, which demonstrated (even before your thoughtful reply) a sharp intellect. . . (grin).
