Good for what ails ya

So, it's winter, and the weather sucks, and soldiers are still dying in Iraq, and insurance companies are still screwing Katrina victims, and Pelosi's title of "Speaker" seems to be increasingly ironic...

Cheer up. Scooter's saying "fuck it" and saving his own ass. And it will be a joy to watch, my friends.

Just for giggles-
How do you think the the Scooter Libby thing will turn out?
Don't just say "Rove and Cheney will walk away untouched" because that's a given.

I think Patrick Fitzgerald wouldn't have gone to court if he didn't think he had a pretty good chance of winning.

The thing that amazes me is that there is a member of the Bush administration finally telling the truth.

The whole thing irritated me to no end; imagine if a member of the Clinton administration had outed a CIA agent-- these right-wing fucktards would be rioting in the streets, demanding resignations from everybody from the top on down.

JohnnyY: I of course agree about the fuss they would make if someone in the Clinton Administration had done something similar. Remember the freakin travel office "scandal"?

Oh, and I cannot agree that Scooter is really telling the "truth." Notice that he is pinning his scapegoating on Rove, and not Cheney. Come on.

You're right-- it's only a half-truth.

The travel office scandal? I have only the barest recollection of that one.

And what about the Whitewater "scandal"? Something like $160,000? That wouldn't even register as a minor fraud here in Chicago. And maybe someone should have reminded the idiots that the Clintons LOST money over it-- for it to be fraud, you have to make money on it. The witch hunt spent tens of millions to investigate a real estate deal that went bad, and came up with a blowjob. Usually it takes an educational administrator to be that incompetent.
