I could rule the world if it weren't for those damn bunnies

Stolen from Megan, who stole it from someone else...

You're Watership Down!

by Richard Adams

Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

I was "Loosely Based" a book I've never heard of that doesn't sound very entertaining.

Pretty accurate.

Okay, mine was John Irving's "A Prayer For Owen Meany," which a fellow blogger recommended to me just two weeks ago. Weird.

I was the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. So I guess I am suffering from multiple personalities. Given the choice, I fancy myself as the Wardrobe because I am more of an inanimate object at heart.

You're Ender's Game!
by Orson Scott Card

To you, most everything is a game. It's summertime, and the living's easy. Even when there's a war on, it's just a game to you. But even though you've historically been able to meet every challenge, there are some doubts about what lies ahead. Are you sure you're up to the next test? Don't forget to pay attention to your siblings.

hrundrundil=automobile. Just one of those words (also: silflay) that I've never forgotten. Shit, I want to read that book again now. I guess I should take this quiz now or something but I just wanted to say hrundrundil.

Great, I'm a Vonnegut novel, which means no one who's past college age will be interested in me.

Too freaked out to comment. Pasted data in blog...

But wouldn't you think *I* talk too much about bunnies?????

Grant: Well, we can't all be talking bunny books.

JohnnyY: Hm. My least favorite Irving book. Dang. You should've held out for Garp.

SkyDad: I'm sorry, all I can think of is Lazy Sunday:
I love those Chronic-WHAT?!-cles of Nar-ni-a!

Kristi: Ah, Book Quiz is all-wise and all-knowing.

SJ: When I was a teenager, I used to say "hraka" instead of "shit" so the adults wouldn't know I was swearing. I am deeply, deeply, dorky.

Kirby: Bite your tongue. My man Kurt V. is a fellow Hoosier.

AnonB: Wow, you're deep. I, on the other hand, was made into an animated film starring Zero Mostel as a wacky seagull.

Damnit! I want to be Watership Down! Trade me?

vikkitikkitavi said...

Dad: I might have known.

Megan: You got one of the coolest books ever, and you want to trade? Um, okay. But I think you're going to show up on my doorstep next week, covered in bunny fur, wanting to trade back. And it'll be too late.

OH MY GOD!
I have been trying to figure out what this movie was for so freakin' long! I love you cuz. This scared the hell out of me when I was a kid for some reason. All I remember was big huge rabbit teeth. Oh, thank you for posting this and enabling me to remember that childhood thing.

You're The Guns of August!
by Barbara Tuchman
Though you're interested in war, what you really want to know is what causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in the past and have a hard time dealing with what's going on today. You're also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can diplomats."

The first time I saw the saw the movie of Watership was when I was in college, when the video came out, and some friends of mine and I went to one of those rent-a-viewing room places that college towns used to have back in the days before college students had VCRs and the like. And in the room next to us, they were watching Excalibur, and it was very loud, what with the swordfights, and the gregorian chanting, and it totally colored my experience of watching Watership. When I watched it years later I was surprised how little violence there was.

But yes, big scary bunny teeth.
