Pray for me? What are you trying to do, kill me?

Praying for people makes them sicker. Oops.

"God is not just another therapeutic nostrum in a doctor's black bag," said Sulmasy, who is also a Franciscan friar. "It seems fundamentally sinful to conceive of God as our instrument."

I think its good to know that its a sin to pray for help.

Further regarding the study, have people pray for some and not others. Don't tell the sick people either way, then see if there is a difference. Anyone want to bet on the outcome?

Actually, there were 3 groups in the study. Some were not prayed for, some were but not told, some were and were told.

Those not prayed for and those prayed for and not told did the same.

Only those prayed for and told did worse.

Nobody's ever prayed for me. But I've yet to have anything really bad happen. I wouldn't pray for me.

I'm going to rural Nebraska in July... pray for me. Or just kill me. One or the other.

Going to rural Nebraska sounds deadly enough.

Oh, it's deadly alright.

Deadly boring.
