Don't forget the Motor City

I federal judge in Detroit has ruled that the NSA warrantless wiretapping program is, uh, soooooooooo unconstitutional.

Fuck yeah, she did:

''Plaintiffs have prevailed, and the public interest is clear, in this matter. It is the upholding of our Constitution."

This makes me so happy. I've always argued that the warrantless wiretapping sham should be more troubling to Americans. With enough persistence, I was even able to convince a fire-engine red co-worker that this thing was a load of shit. The president broke an existing law - no two ways about it. There's got to be a check and, so far, Congress has been useless in that capacity. Let's see if the courts can do any better.

Chris: BushCo is not going to let this one go easily. I guess Gonzalez is going to be working some late nights for a while.

Megan: I'm sure no one in the Republican party is going to go there.
